Job 38: 1 From out of a storm, the Lord said to Job: (CEV)
This morning I was honestly glad that I was coming to the end of the book of Job. If you have read it …. You know why. Everybody has had their say about Job, well meaning friends have counseled and even Job himself has lamented … and it goes on, and on, and on. But then we get to this scripture (verse 1). From out of the storm … Above all the noises that sound like lightening cracking and thunder rolling… The Lord speaks.
You know that sometimes we want the Lord to answer us, but if its louder than the sound of a storm, I know I would be fearful. That’s loud! And what will he say? How will he answer the dilemma of Job’s troubles? Well, here you see what He says…
Job 38: 2 Why do you talk so much when you know so little? (CEV)
So I can’t help but laugh just a little bit, because that about sums it up. His ways are higher than our ways. In the world we live in where everybody is an expert, I think the Lord was very clear…we know very little. And I will spare you the rest of what the Lord has to say, but he wasn’t finished talking to Job. He was just getting started.
I guess my point is this, we will never have things figured out in life. We can try an analyze our situation from all angles, but God knows all and sees all. I shake my head every day because I have more information than I know what to do with in this world … But I am never, never without the need of the all knowing God in my life. I need Him. (Enough said)
