I ran across a quote this morning that jumped off the page at me, it read “because you said I can’t, I will”.  My thoughts immediately went to how the enemy of our soul tries to steal from us by feeding us lies about ourselves, about our loved ones and about our Lord.   He tries to paint a picture in our minds that we are weak, that our circumstances are too big, and that our God is too small.  But the voice of the enemy is also the voice of a liar.  Through Jesus Christ we are more than conquerors, and our circumstances are small in comparison to the big God that we serve.  Turning to the bible, we quickly find that it is full of “I will’s”.

I will bless the Lord at all times… Ps. 34:1

I will give you every place where you set your foot… Joshua 1:3

I will never leave you nor forsake you… Joshua 1:5

I will not be shaken… Ps. 16:8

I will pour out my Spirit on all people… Acts 2:27

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you… John 14:18

I will come again… John 14:3

And the list goes on and on …
